Morning glory?

Do i need to to clean the seeds with some solution or can i just simply crush them and soak them and water and then drink that water.

Morning glory?
I agree with Ivy. I just planted up some seeds (first time for morning glory) and they were old (from 2002) and just put them in the soil mix and wow - 4 weeks later almost all of them came up. I was too lazy to read up on proper sowing techniques and I got the seeds from someone so there was no packet to go by. I'm going to transplant them into 1 gallons this week and then in the garden when they are bigger.

I couldn't believe they actually germinated being so old and all. I hardly ever sow seeds so I don't really have a lot of experience with it, but I must have done something right. I'm sure you can find the proper sowing technique but this worked for me. (If you were close, I'd share my bounty.)

Happy gardening. :)

Reply:Boy oh boy! I've tried doing just what you've said and nothing. My sister-in-law just threw the seeds along the fence and has been pulling them out for years. Good luck!
Reply:Give them a good rinse first. Then soak overnight or longer.

Not really much worth the effort in my experience. Maybe it'll do something for you.
