out of the flowers, NOT the seeds. what are the effects?
How do you make morning glory wine?
You would soak the blossoms in wine. However, it's primarily the seeds that have any psychoactive effect.
However, there's some issues (from the web):
"one person advised caution as the leafs may contain other toxins such as cyanogenic glycosides. Presently, only the seeds are known to contain lysergic acid amides, but it is a short jump from a flower to a seed pod, and there ARE tales of morning glory FLOWERS being made into a psychoactive wine"
Who knows? I'm not sure I would risk the toxic effects for the mild effect of the morning glory flowers.

I want to take morning glory seeds for the LSA effect what store can i buy these at where there is no poison?
First of all, Mr. Bwippner, Meijers stores are only found in the north-eastern states - it's likely that the asker hasn't heard of one.
Secondly, there is a specific brand you should look for. This brand is found in nearly all stores that sell seeds, such as Wal-Mart, Meijers, gardening shops, and any store that has a gardening section.
Look on the back of the packet of seeds. It should say what conpany produced it. You'll want to get the seeds distributed by Plantation Products. They do not treat their seeds with any chemicals.

Were can i get Morning Glory is it Psychedelic?
how do i use it i hered its a Psychedelic plant
Were can i get Morning Glory is it Psychedelic?
Do not use Morning Glory (or any other drug for that matter) because it is quite toxic. It is even potentially lethal. People have been known to get sick from just pulling up the vines from getting the sap on their skin.
Reply:you dont want to do morning glory the high lasts only a short time and is not good but the headache and vomiting will last days it is also a poison
Reply:Since you're such an idiot, I'll tell you. You take a length of vine, twist it up around a pencil and insert it as a suppository.

How tall should my morning glory's be being i plant them in the ground? or does it not matter as long its warm
I'm in zone 7b if that helps any.
How tall should my morning glory's be being i plant them in the ground? or does it not matter as long its warm
I have always put the seed directly in the ground and they do great that way, but the ground should really have warmed up first. Just make sure it's well past frost time or you'll need to cover the seedlings.
Reply:after last frost date . height is irrelevant

I have a neighbors Morning glory over taking my yard..?
Perhaps you could tie Morning glory to the fence to keep it in check and add another blooming or evergreen vine for a balance and change.
Good luck!
Reply:pour salt in the rooting area of the plant. it will slow the growth considerably
Reply:make a trellis and guide them up on it.or a fence.
Reply:speak to your neighbor and ask them if they wouldn,t mind tidying it up and be honest with them about it
Reply:if its on your side clip it back.it wont hurt the plant.

Reply:Prune whatever is on your side of the fence.
Reply:Cut the part that is growing on your side. They probably think you want it to show on your side of the fence. You will have to do this more than once during the summer.

Are "Scarlet O'Hara" Morning Glory seeds chemically treated?
And what happens if you do eat treated seeds?
Are "Scarlet O'Hara" Morning Glory seeds chemically treated?
I hate to tell you this but Scarlett OHara is virtually useless if you're planning to ingest them. Only Heavenly Blues, Pearly Gates, and a few other varieties contain LSA.
To quote directly from the Morning Glory FAQ on www.Erowid.org ,
"To discourage use today, commercial seed producers treat the seeds with a poisonous coating which cannot be removed by washing. The effects from this coating cause nausea, comiting and severe abdominal pain. Extremely high doses cause psychotic reactions, heart failure and shock."
The seeds can be treated with anything from methyl mercury to thiram. Aside from causing nausea, vomitting and diarrheoa if you eat them, Thiram cannot be mixed with alcohol. It will induce an Antabuse type of reaction (vomitting, rashes etc.).
If it is not mentioned anywhere on the pack if they are treated, then they are not treated. If they are treated, then by law, it has to be stated on the pack. It will also state what the seeds are treated with (eg. Captan, Thiram, Methyl Mercury etc).
But if you are planning to eat these seeds for their psychedelic effect, then it doesn't matter if they are treated or not, you will NOT get any effect from Scarlet O'Hara.
Perhaps you could list out all the symptoms you are feeling and we can analyze whether your symptoms are from the chemicals or from a random cold or virus. And as far as nausea goes, regardless of whether or not they are treated, the seeds will cause nausea ingested. This is due in part to 2 other toxic chemicals present in the seed, one in the husk and one in the pulp. The one in the pulp is pretty mild and can be used to make soap. But the one in the husk can cause a 'strychnine' like effect. Usually, the seeds are pulverized and soaked in petroleum ether to remove this toxic chemical. But if you just ate the seeds raw, this strychnine-like effect (headache, blurred and 'fish-eye' vision) will be more pronounced, as will nausea.
Hope this helps. Drop me a line if you want more info or you want to discuss this further.
Reply:Turns out I caught strep throat. It could have been a coincidence or like I said, the seeds weakened my ammune system. I did look at erowid, and no the pack did not say they were chemically treated so that could not have been it. I got over the strep throat without antibiotics in about a week. Report It
Reply:I'm done with morning glory seeds though. If I ever decide to trip again, I'm just gunna spend a little more and get shrooms. And thanks for the information. Report It
Reply:If you're interested in them for their mind-altering effect, take a look at this website: www.erowid.org. It can tell you pretty much anything you'd want to know about anything.
If there is another reason to eat them, hmm...I dunno.
I think eating the seeds, untreated or not, could make your stomach upset for a while. Lots of things will do that, mind-altering or not. Not sure though, I don't think the chemicals would be good for your body.

Only from some of the more specialist plug suppliers. They are very easy from seed if you have no luck finding the plugs.
Just found some on Ebay. Hope that helps :)

Bridgmere Garden World garden centre is one of the biggest in Cheshire and the midlands - near to Nantwich, and has tons of bedding plants just now - including some still at plug stage. If you want bigger plants this year, I'd probably have some of the larger plants that are sold, as I tend to use plugs a couple of months earlier than this, allowing them to increase in size by planting time at the end of May.
Here's a link to their website - http://www.wyevale.co.uk/on/demandware.s... They are now part of the Wyevale group, as you'll see on the site. Telephone - 01270 521100
You could call and ask for info on their current stock, or visit and take a look around - they have tons of plants, annuals, perennials etc.
Hope this helps. Good luck! Rob
Reply:I've only seen them in seed form.
Morning Glories are acutally classified as a weed.
They grow quickly and will crawl up most anything. They will also strangle out other plants. They're difficult to remove at the end of the season (because of the vining) but they do reseed themselves year after year.
I have them. I love them. I way-over planted them!

Do enough morning glory seeds make you hallucinate?
Yes, some species can induce hallucinations. However, there are risk involved. Over indulgence can cause renal failure among other problems. If you want to "get off" there are other bontanicals that are much safer and have fewer risks involved. I wouldn't suggest trying them.
Reply:Absolutely yes. They do. But a weird, kind of cRaZy hallucination. My brother says a guy on the TV was talking to him and yes, he did talk back.

Eventually the marshmallows and tanic red wine made me feel sick to my stomach and I had to quit.
I never got a lick of high.
Don't bother.

Help with morning glory seeds?
if i were to eat about 50 of them would i get high?
Help with morning glory seeds?
No, more than likely not. When younger my friends and I tried to eat morning glory seed after hearing they could make us feel high, they only made us feel sick. Also you have to grind them up first or else they will have no effect. I've also heard that now companies put something on the morning glory seeds to stop people from getting high, I'm not sure how true that is but these are just somethings to consider before stuffing yourself full of seeds.

Can ingesting morning glory seeds make you sick?
They can, if you don't use them properly.
I took them once, about a month ago. It was an amazing experience.
First off, find seeds from a company by the name of Plantation Products - their seeds are commonly found in any store with a gardening section; Wal-Mart, Meijers, etc.
They don't treat their seeds with chemicals, so you won't be poisoned or anything.
Now, when consuming them, the best route to go is grinding them up with an herb or salt grinder, and eating them. I put mine on a pizza. If you mix them with something that has flavor, you hardly notice them. They don't have a distinct taste. Just an extra crunch.
If you have experience with psychedelics, you might want to try around 400 seeds. If not, try starting out with 200. You'll still get a pretty good trip. I myself ate 500 seeds, and found this to be about the equivalent of 2 strong hits of LSD. It was very unexpected and made for quite the experience.
To prevent nausea, which is a common side-effect of eating the seeds, smoke a bowl of cannabis. Following the oral consumption of the seeds, I felt a little nauseous myself. Then I smoked a bowl of cannabis and felt fine.
However; after several hours of strong hallucinations and other trippy side-effects, I did run into some problems. I got extremely hot and sweaty and experienced shortness of breath. I had to run outside to level myself out a bit. Felt fine after getting 5 minutes of fresh air. But... an hour or so later, I felt very sick. Looking at myself in the mirror was a bit scary - bloodshot eyes, VERY dilated pupils, pale face. I looked sick. And then I felt sick. I couldn't stand up or do anything really. However, I was in a very bad setting at this time. I suggest you be in a place where you can lay down and trip. If I hadn't been inside a run-down inner city store with my mother, I would probably have been fine. Anyway, this lasted about an hour. Once we left the store, I felt perfectly fine.
Setting is VERY important.
If you're curious about hearing more of my experience you can read it here:
http://dustyh.googlepages.com/aaa
If you do decide to eat them, enjoy your trip! But take my advice.
Can ingesting morning glory seeds make you sick?
Yes, especially if you have purchased them from a seed supplier. They are often coated with a chemical that makes them inedible. I forget the what the purpose of the chemical is (maybe an insecticide). There are suppliers who do not use this chemical, but I don't know off hand who they are.
I would suggest checking out www.erowid.org 's listing for morning glory seeds. They may offer suppliers and suggestions for preparation of the seeds for entheogenic use.
Reply:yes. However, you can extract the active ingredients and avoid most of the bad stuff. For the most part, the bad stuff is non-polar soluble, and the good stuff is polar soluble, so, you can grind them, soak them in Naphtha for a day or two, then filter them, and let the Naphtha evaporate (don't use heat for this, too much heat will destroy the LSA, your best bet is to spread them out on a pan or something like that and set up a fan to blow over it). Once the powder material doesn't smell like Naphtha AT ALL (very important) soak it in water for a couple days, then filter it, but keep the water and drink that.
I'm not endorsing this, as LSA is a schedule III substance, and performing a semi-extraction could be considered illegal. It's strictly for science ;-)
Reply:I don't know if they make you sick. I do know that for what your looking to use the seeds for you can only use a certain type of blue morning glory and from what I understand it tastes like crap.
Bwians got the best idea!
Reply:Yes.
I tried that Anarchist Cookbook during college too.
And yes they can make you sick.
Save yourself the danger and hassle and find someone reliable with shrooms.
Reply:chew them well in your mouth and let them sit under your tounge. chemicals absorb better that way and you can spit them out after a while so you dont get sick...
but that wont help you with the mental aspects...
Reply:No, and it won't grow in there either. Not enough sun. Morning glory's need at least part sun to full sun.
Reply:yes and they can cause hallucinations, the incas used to swear by them!
Reply:Yes just go for the mushrooms or peyote.

Are you sure they aren't earwigs? They think morning glories are tasty.

...diatomaceous earth, around the base of the plant, soap-based pest repellents, or ignoring them seems to work.

Will my morning glory seeds still germinate?
I let them sit in a bowl of water overnight, but i forgot to take them out for a few days. Will they still grow, or should i give up on them?
Will my morning glory seeds still germinate?
I tend to think they are goners, having soaked morning glory seeds too long myself.
Reply:I think they should be ok. Maybe let them sit on a paper towel near a warm spot like a sunny window or something so they can kind of dry up a little. Morning sun would be best because it'll be a little warm but not HOT. You don't want your seeds to rot if they haven't already. I would plant them in egg cartons and keep them in the house for right now and wait and see which ones germiniate then transplant those that sprout.
I just planted mine a couple weeks ago and they're doing well. Hope yours will too! Good luck
Reply:If they are not rotten, you can still try to start them, They should be sprouted by now at least.
Reply:They should be OK. Just pop them in a pot of soil and see in a week or two if they sprout. If they do then plant them outside.
Reply:they should b o.k.just plant them they will grow eventualy.
Reply:Go ahead and plant them. They should be okay.

Ever try morning glory seeds?..what did it do?
Didn't do a lot for me. But then I was expecting more. You many get some opening of sensory channels you don't expect.
Make sure you are in a safe place, physically and mentally/emotionally if you try them.
Ever try morning glory seeds?..what did it do?
Yes the will give you a somewhat psychotropic high. But when you know your acid it is not the same. Also LSA from morning glory seeds and Hawaiian Baby Woodrose seeds has some possible side effects that LSD does not. The LSA can cause you to have some claudication in your extremities and nausea. But the seeds are Ok. If you want something legal just get mescaline from san pedro cactus. sanpedroman.com Mescaline is a better high than LSA. But you should try LSA.
Reply:its much weaker then acid but it gives you a taste of what its going to be like

Do morning glory seeds really get you high?
I have heard and even researched that they possess LSA a hallucinogen 1/10 the strength of LSD. Although I am not very inclined to believe this to be true, how easy could a high like this be? To test this theory I have researched that you must grind up the seeds and place them in a tea or any type of drink. I have already gridded up seeds with a coffee grinder and ingested upward to 300 seeds. Am I in for a fun time? Or is the re some unspoken step to this procedure?
Do morning glory seeds really get you high?
Yes mainly the seeds contain LSA.
Please people do not answer these types of questions with your opinions about 'doing drugs' if you are clearly against them, please have an open mond and don't think just cos you don't 'do drugs' that it is morally wrong for others to. Are they hurting you......NO so shut up. (sorry for rant it annoys me)
We live in a society where these things are gouing to happen, people are going to experiment. It is best that if you answer you give as true and clear information as possible and don't just state your opinion, you will start sounding like Bush and his 'war on drugs' and then you really would sound daft, like those who have posted useless information already.
Check our Erowid for trip reports and how to's. #
Reply:Yes but it is full of nasty muck, notably Ergotamine, which will do you no good at all, (look it up). Also, when they say "one tenth the strength of LSD", that is a meaningless figure, because the effect of the Lysergic Acid (LA) is not qualitatively the same as the LSD effect.
It would be a lot safer for you to go pick some funny mushrooms instead.
Reply:Well, so does butt hash if you would like to try it, it WILL make you halucinate, and is very easy to make, all you have to do is deficate and urinate in a bottle, put a balloon over the top, let it sit out in the hot sun until the balloon is filled with gasses, then take off the balloon and inhale, good luck with that, its all the same stuff, if you intend on frying your brain anyhow, you may as well.
Reply:yes yes yes!!!!!!!!! im tripin on them right now so absolutely yes ive been using them for 5 years there safe if u pick them ur self but if u buy them be careful uselly coated in a mild poison and will give u severe nausia but the will not kill you...
Reply:I think you are in for diahhrea. Have fun; bring a magazine.

Heirloom morning glory seeds produced microscopic blooms?
Only .5", before first frost. Would planting earlier help, or should I just try another variety? These were "Heavenly".
Heirloom morning glory seeds produced microscopic blooms?
Hello, I have grown morning glories from seed. I have noticed that the flowers start out very small. I have to wonder if it is related to the size of the container they are in at the time. They produce flowers fast, if they are in a small cup, they get a tiny flower.
When transplanted they often wilt back, you can cut the tops off just leaving a small start of the vine, or just take off the wilted leaves and leave the vine. Hint, if you trim off the top, it makes your morning glory spread much faster.
Here in zone five they are considered an anual. But Beware! They have a habbit of comming back each year. Every year the flower leaves get bigger, and the flowers also get bigger as well. I had a moon flower (cousin to the morning glorie)
comming back for several years. It got so huge it was like a gigantic ground cover.
I got a request from some one for a vine, so I made every attempt to pull it it. It was so huge that we had to trim the top off to fit it in the trunk of the car. The roots were much like short but fat white carrots. But it had taken over my flower bed so it had to go. Morning glories open in morning where moonflower opens later in the afternoon. Moonflower has a nice glow from the moonlight at night.
If you are in a zone that allows the morning glorie to return, expect bigger flowers this spring/summer. I have a new seedling in a cup ready to pop open a tiny bloom.

Poll: morning glory or night owl?
Night owl♥
Poll: morning glory or night owl?
night. i hope this post is not too long. apologies in advance
the night
tonight is black and blue like my face
pummeled by so many frowns and curses
that i received in the day
the night is shimmering in iridescence
a strident silver like my pockets
stripped clean of the golden silences i gathered
the night is long and cold and arduous
to one who cannot sleep
in the bitter light of his misgivings
the night is mindless and relentless and angry
i have failed another day to control my compulsions
for not taking the final steps into the new world i am designing
the world i know is right and healthy and free
and the night draws me in with a mesmerizing force
tugging at my loneliness my fears my cravings
tickling at my wounds
the night says it will offer companionship
but will it last for more than a few hours?
the night cries that i will be brave
when i am set free of my shadow
but how long can this last? i wonder
not into the light
the night says i will satisfy your cravings
and feed your obsessions
but how long can i live on
this vacuous junk food
and the night promises that wounds heal like magic
when the dressings cannot be seen
undressed in the arcane alleys
when the satin flux of neon
puts a gauze upon the sore
and when the bright light and happy sounds
the carefree attitudes
and the careless people gather
to pay tribute
to their brief escape
from the day
tonight the night calls to me
with a voice that penetrates my clenched fists
time and time again i have sought not to hear
the night knows what sweetness
i have supped upon seeking refuge
it knows where the aches and cramps
of my work encroach
and where my frame is tired and anxious
and the night says come to me
i will make you forget for a while
all the things that made you man
and you will become a god
to the ends of the earth
crowds will adore you
and you will adore yourself what you see
and even the day will appear to adore you
until of course the day comes again
and knowing telling regretting and rethinking
all that my heart cries to me
has not eased the fever
that burns in my brow
and blazes somewhere in my belly
some deep yearning comes out
of this inexorable cycle
in answer to the deepest covenants of my soul
what makes me a man
and what makes me anticipate
the forms that break out
jostle and joust
make alignment
to express themselves
to burst the straight jacket
i have put upon them
to walk the sunny side of day
to play out the role of captain
general – in command of myself
while time steadily turns towards dusk
when the forces will leap up
and change my face
the night is scarlet and black
i still have a choice
but my heart is wrenched from its socket
my feet lie in quicksand
my mouth is parched
for the sweet sweet waters
and the night beckons to me
once again

Morning glory question please?
it is getting out of control...with nowhere to vine....if i cut the top of it...will the rest still grow? or will it die?
Morning glory question please?
You can cutt back morning glories all you want to...The yellowing can simply be from the heat of the sun, or watering from above instead from the bottom or a calcium defiency..Sprinkle epsom salt at the base of the plants and then slightly water it in..it will brighten the leaves up...use about a cup for every 4 feet of ground that the morning glories are planted in..
Reply:cutting back your vine will not effect its growth in any negative way-it will help to thicken it up if anything.
The yellowing may be a deficiency, are the older leaves are yellowing first? If so, try fertilizing it with a nitrogen rich fertilizer, one for lawns/palms etc would be fine. Use a soluble product (one that is a powder that you mix with water) so as the plant can absorb it immediately.
Reply:Hi,
I dont think it will hurt your vine to trim it back some I have trimmed mine back for years and it dont hurt them ,its hard to kill a morning glory, if you have leaves yellowing it may be the runners are wrapping to tight around the branch and chocking it, if so cut the runner and remove it
Reply:don't fertilize a morning glory...you'll get lotsa leaves and little if any flowers......glories are plants of the field, where there's rarely anything like fertilzers!!!....they do best with less fussin'....
Reply:yes. in fact if you cut the top a bit it will grow much thicker with many more flowers also it will grow a bit shorter, but wider

Morning glory grinding?
I have no machine i can use to grind them and i was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on how to grind them i tried smashing them with a hammer but they just shoot off
Morning glory grinding?
Maybe the seeds are trying to tell you something. First check out www.EROWID.com. Then use a coffee grinder or soak them overnite and chew, chew, chew. I knew a guy that used the coffee grinder in the grocery store, just don't get caught. When I tried them I got nothing out of it. RScott
Reply:I soak mine for a couple of days, then put them between 2 layers of sandpaper and rub the sheets together. It must work, or I wouldn't have Morning Glory crawling all the way up the staircase outside my apartment every Summer.
I have also had success just planting the seeds in the late fall, before the ground freezes. They have all winter to soften up, and when Spring comes, they start popping out of the ground. I discovered this about 5 years ago. I didn't plant any seeds at all, and they came up where I had planted them the year before and didn't pull out the old plants or remove the flowers from the fence--they reseeded themselves. Now I just dig in a few seeds here and there in November and I have a great crop of Morning Glories come Summer Be sure to mix in some Moonflowers, they look awesome together, since the Morning Glories open during the day, and the Moonflowers at night.

My question is what is all the types of plant belong in the morning glory group?
I have an strange plant in my yard, I don't know if it's a weed or plant. The leaves close up in the evening time and open back up in the morning. It's slender and the stalk is a quarter thick or a little bit bigger. The limbs spread as wide as my arms and now it's taller than me now. I'm 5'4" in height.
My question is what is all the types of plant belong in the morning glory group?
A Yahoo search for "morning glories" (include the quotation marks in the search box) yields 962,000 results. If you do the same search, and are willing to spend a little time exploring, I'm sure that you will quickly find the information you seek.
Good luck with your search.

Whats the difference between an Acid Trip and a Trip on Morning Glory seeds?
What is the difference? A story my father told me of a friend of his back in the 60's took acid. After about a half an hour his buddy stood in front of his bathroom mirror and removed all his skin, muscles, circulatory system, organs, till there was nothing but some flesh hanging off his bones. He set all of himself on the top of the toilet bowl and when he came to put his body back together he couldn't. He was eventually caught by the police at 2:00 in the morning barking at traffic on Sunset Blvd. Is one safer than the other and which one is more dangerous if used improperly?

If not, wrong category.
Reply:i believe you are thinking of poppy seeds...i have never heard of anyone tripping off of morning glory seeds...an acid trip involves hallucinations, paranoia, and distortion of reality...the seeds would probably have a lesser effect than actual acid, but i do not know...i have only done acid once and have never tried seeds...there is probably something on the internet about it...you should try googling it...
Reply:Acid Trip is wayyy more powerfull than a Trip on Morning Glory seeds. Its farrrr more expensive but gives a greater experience. Morning Glory seeds are legal and you can buy them at a hardware store, so they are cheep but not as effective when you smoke them. With all drugs come danger and you can die if you use any drug improperly. Acid will most likley do more damage. I dont see how you can use them "improperly" because its not legal but its your choice. You have the information but just be careful dude. You see what happened to your dad's friend. It really doesn't pay to be arrested or far worse, killed from a substance that will give you a small time of pleasure. it really can f*ck up your life.

My fiance gets a morning glory every morning?
from drdrew.com:
"Morning erections are a normal part of male physiology. In fact, when doctors are trying to determine whether or not a man's erectile dysfunction is physiological or psychological, they will often apply a nocturnal tumescence monitor, which monitors the presence and duration of erections during the night. Several things can cause morning erections. One, as the bladder fills during the night, it tends to trigger a spinal reflex that can cause erection. Also, the congestion caused by the full bladder can decrease the outflow of blood from the penis. There are aspects of normal sleep cycling that tend to induce erection as well.
Dr Tim: Erections are mostly controlled by the autonomic nervous system. The parasympathetic part functions during relaxed states. Erections actually occur when men are in relaxed states (you don't need blood going to your penis when you are running from a lion) and early morning is simply one of the most relaxed states."

Will goats get sick if they eat morning glory [ Ipomoea sp.] or passion flower vines [Passiflora]?
We need to plant some fast growing vines against a wired -screened area and are considering Passion flowers and the Morning glories ... we have two pet dwarf Nigerian goats who could reach the vines and possibly nibble on them. Are they poisonous/ at risks??!!
Will goats get sick if they eat morning glory [ Ipomoea sp.] or passion flower vines [Passiflora]?
no problem in the poison department. the morning glory is in the sweet potato family and the passion flower often can put out small eatable fruit.
the real problem is the goats. my ex mother-in-law had several dwarf nigerian goats. the ate everything that grew within reach as fast as it came out of the ground. i don't think your vines stand a chance.

Morning glory plants have beetles. Help What will keep them away?
I did some research and can't find info on this particular beetle. Lots of sites told how many different beetles like these plants, but none said how to stop them from coming to my plants.I've never seen beetles like this before and I've grown Mor Glory for 3 years. Any suggestions? At this point I'm even open to insecticide although it would be my last choice.

There is a spray called Sevin. It works pretty well and you can find it at Lowe's, Home Depot, or similar stores.

Do you have to plant moonflower seeds with Morning glory seeds?
I just started planting MG seeds and i notice people talking about both and not just one. do you have to plant them together? Is it possible to plant morning glories in a condo apartment?
Do you have to plant moonflower seeds with Morning glory seeds?
absolutely not. Plant your MF seeds where you'll be watching them at night. Plant your MG's where you can see them in the mornings. For instance, by your patio for you to admire during late cookouts for MF's and outside your breakfast nook for MG's.
Reply:You can definitely plant them separately, but once you plant morning glories, you will have them forever!!! They can get way out of control and invade other plants with their vines. Just be careful. Moonflowers on the other hand are beautiful and less invasive. They are self seeders which die off at the end of the season and return in the spring. I love the moonflowers, not so much the morning glories, or four-o-clocks.

Moonvine Morning Glory?
I planted moonvine morning glories in a long narrow planter and its climbing up a trellis however it really hasnt started branching at all. Its one long vine. I have read articles of pinching back the vine to promote branching. Does anyone have any expierence from this? Or is it a myth?
Moonvine Morning Glory?
Mine grow without much help at all. Plenty of water with well drained soil. I don't pick up any dropped flowers, I let them stay and it reseeds itself. It should grow on it's own. As for pinching, I've not seen it help nor hinder. I cut mine back to the ground every winter as it dies off and each spring, it's all over and doubled up.
You may want to clip a starter and root it in a vase then plant it among the other. Takes about a week to get it started.

How to get rid of Morning Glory Flowers?
I planted them a couple years along a wooden fence at the back of a cutting garden at my fathers house. Now he can't grow anything because the morning glories choke and smother everything....
How do I get rid of them without harming the ability to plant flowers for cutting?
I've tried weeding with a frenzy every couple of days - but there seems to be no end in sight.
How to get rid of Morning Glory Flowers?
I have the same problem. I refuse to use weed spray so I just go out everyday and rip them up. I'm finding fewer and fewer. Arrrgh, they're so pretty but so freakin' obnoxious!
Reply:I live in the east, and love Morning glories. They're an annual here. I didn't know they were so invasive. They seem pretty easy to rip up.
Reply:I had the same problem with wild berries in my yard. The only thing I found that worked was digging them up. Every bit of root that I could get ahold of. Each spring they were fewer and fewer, but now they're gone forever. Fight a persistant weed with persistance.
Reply:weed killer such as "Round-Up" once temps have reached 80* will do it. Just wait at least 2 wks. before planting anything %26amp; be sure to do on a NON_WINDY day-so as to not have over-spray harm any plants or grasses you do want to keep.
Check manuf. link below for any further info.
Reply:the roundup idea is a good answer. you may want to use something like 2-4-D in the summer to keep them from going to seed and then use roundup after a good frost. the white ones you mentioned are a bad weed and it goes by several names with morning glory being just one of them. they are either field (small flowers) or hedge (larger flowers) bindweed and ate on most states obnoxious weed list
Reply:Dig them up, thin them out, rototill them every year. Do not let them go to seed for the next season. Weed killer, although I don't like pesticides so I just use the elbow grease with persistence.

Does the cocoa shell mulch prevent flowers on morning glory vines?
my morning glory vine looks great but no flowers. The only differance this year is the addition of cocoa shell mulch.
Does the cocoa shell mulch prevent flowers on morning glory vines?
it is deffinately not the mulch. I would have to say that the cocoa mulch is useless as it washes away with rain, blows away with wind, and doesn't even smell very much.
It does have its place in the small sheltered perennial garden because it decomposes faster than bark does.
Ipomea species tend to need 6-8 hours of sun and like moist but well drained conditions. If it is not getting those condidtions it could have enough energy to get through the first year with flowers but not enough to come back the second with flowers.
Have you fertilized it? It could have depleted the soils phosphorus levels last year and need another shot to get it flowering again.
Reply:First, beware of that mulch, dogs find it delicious and it instantly kills them. As for the flowers, I'd say it was too cool and too dark.
Reply:was the mulch well rotted? if it was fresh the mulch will be taking nitrogen out of the soil to compose feed up the vines with some slow release fert
Reply:Idont know but it does kill dogs like chocolate

How can I get rid of wild morning glory or is this an immposibility?
I am working on a garden of native plants. all are doing great but I also have wild morning glory that I weed out everyday to prevent it from strangling everybody else. Any way to get rid of it?
How can I get rid of wild morning glory or is this an immposibility?
Not sure how much wild morning glory you currently have in your garden but... if it's among the plants you want to keep, you'll have to make a mixture of Roundup and water.... then use a narrow/thin paintbrush to apply this mix to the proper target and avoid killing your landscape plants. Make sure you apply as much of the herbicide solution to the leaves as you can to insure adequate wetting.
Here's another helpful hint; try mixing the Roundup and water WITH a foliar fertilizer (such as Miracle Gro). The Miracle Gro (fertilier) actually tricks the leaves (stomata) into accepting more of the solution than normal.
GOOD LUCK!
Reply:Try digging deeper to get the whole root out...or maybe spray weedkiller on it.
Reply:Follow these steps:
1. Pull all the large M.G. plants.
2. Squirt left over and new weeds with premixed Roundup spray. You can find this at any hardware store.
3. If you find that it is to difficult to spray the Roundup because other plants are to close use a piece of cardboard to protect other plants while you spray the weeds. Roundup can also be brushed on with a small paint brush.
In time you should be able to rid yourself of morning glory but it will take time, patients, and perseverance.
Reply:Roundup works best in these situations, spray it at the base.
Reply:When they die off you have to remove the vine and spray weed killer. Do this after everything else has died for the winter.
Reply:morning Glory's are one of Those plants just like ivy you have to kill them at the roots and make sure that the seeds remaining do not germinate you can try weed killers and digging them up but this may take several times they are not prone to grow in acidic soil try a weed killer that has less of a base ingredient listed first on the label. good luck
Reply:Morning glory roots can go as deep as 6 feet, We use a product in this state called Curtail, it is a broad leaf selective. I would call your local Soil extension Office, they will be able to tell you what is available and effective in your area. In Colorado it is one of the those weeds we all fight. The SOC will help you and give you all kinds of info, it is there job and they take weeds like morning glory( called bindweed here)
very seriously. You can not ever pull all the roots up you can stop it with the proper selective spray. There is also a mite that you Can get from the SCO that attacks and kills the bindweed. I have not used it but I hear it is very effective and environmentally friendly. You do have to battle it for a very long time the seeds can stay in the soil for many years.
Good luck
God Bless

Reply:Your wild morning glory is probably what is called bind weed. It vines all over the place with a tiny white morning glory like flower and is very hard to get rid of. If you try to pull them up you only get a very small piece and the majority of the root is left underground to multiply. The best way to get rid of them is with round out, being very careful not to get it on your other plants. It will go to the root and kill the plant.
Reply:Roundup!
Reply:I had this problem too....it was actually killing the tree it was climbing....I had to dig it up and then use root killer
Reply:Not only do the roots go deep (I've read up to ten feet), the seed can remain viable for several years. Try a combination of spraying with Roundup, then pulling a few days later. Don't even bother trying to get the roots when you pull, even if you just break them off, you will weaken the plant. You have to keep at it and if you live in a climate like we have here in Western Washington, you will probably never be completely rid of it.

What is this flower like a morning glory?
The difference between this plant and a morning glory plant is that the leaves on this are longer and narrower, and the notch of the leaf, where the stem attaches, is a U-shape instead of a V-shape.
What is this flower like a morning glory?

How do you get rid of Morning Glory?
I have a nasty problem with Morning Glory all over my garden/yard. It insinuates itself everywhere, and I can't plant veggies anymore, because the stuff is so hard to deal with. Anyone know any herbicide or other that does the trick?
How do you get rid of Morning Glory?
Good luck . . . once its established it takes work, lots of work. Keep pulling, and don't let any flowers go to seed !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Reply:White vinegar will work...just be careful because it will decimate the grass too.

How To Get Rid of Morning Glory?
Short of constantly ripping the stuff out, does anyone have a good (organic) sollution to this plant? There seems to be morning glory that grows in between my yard and the neighbours' yards. We all pull the stuff, but it just keeps coming back. If I miss one weekend of gardening, the stuff starts to strangle my azalias and blueberry bushes!
How To Get Rid of Morning Glory?
Do you get NPR? This sounds like an ideal question for Mike on You Bet Your Garden. (The website is http://www.whyy.org/91FM/ybyg/ - you can email questions or call.)
Problems with this plant are twofold - one, vine plant, two, self-sowing.
So, not only do you have to rip it out and kill the roots, you have to stop the seeds from spreading. This is probably not going to happen in one season, though.
Your basic strategy is to exhaust the plant by cutting the foliage back, keep flowers off of it so it can't seed, then cover the soil so everything there dies back. It will try and move on you! You've got the right idea, but yeah, it's exhausting.
Reply:only way is to move your azalias and blueberries. basically because you can't kill morning Glories manly because they are only anuals. but they produce so many seeds that its impossible to kill them all without them coming back. its a plant often used to piss off the nighbors and kill trees and stuff, my dad used it to kill my nighbors trees I didn't particulaly care for it but as soon as you see a bloom cut it off and cut the vines down you going to be doing it for years but if you stop it from blooming or growing at all eventually there won't be no seeds, but it might take a few years.
Reply:round up will kill it. If you don't want to use a poison. I have read vinegar will kills plants.
Reply:There is no organic way to get rid of moring glory vines. Weed spray is your only option.
Reply:Hi. Consider surrendering. I have about 900 ft of fence and it's absolutely inundated with this stuff. After years of trying EVERYTHING to make it go away i just gave up. Now, in the spring, i pull down last years 80 bushels of dead vines and just let it grow (cutting it off my sacred goose berry bush when necessary) and just let it have the fence. Honestly...it really looks a lot better then the fence AND it's attracting the now endangered wild honey bee.
Reply:Nope. You have two choices, Roundup or ripping them out. I'm fighting battles in places where I haven't planted morning glories for two years and there are still hundreds of them coming up each week.
Get 'em while they're small, they rip out easier.

How do you filter morning glory seeds with the water and alcohol (gin, voka, etc) method?
I would like to know how to filter morning glory seeds with just water and alcohol to remove the undesirable side-effects? I cant find a web site that explains it in enough detail.
How do you filter morning glory seeds with the water and alcohol (gin, voka, etc) method?
Sounds like you are preparing a tincture.
1 ounce seeds to 16 ounces fluid. With that said, 25% of the fluid is going to be distilled water, which in this measurement would be appx. 4 ounces. The other 12 ounces fluid is vodka or everclear. These alcohols need to contain 95% alcohol for you to get the correct distilation properties.
Now in a glass jar, place the seeds (crush them), alcohol and water. Shake daily for 2 weeks. Then strain the fluid out with cheesecloth cupped over a glass jar.
You should bottle this tincture in a dark glass bottle and the self life is inebidable (no expiration).
For more information on making tinctures, purchase "The Complete Guide to Herbal Medicines" from borders for $7. In the front it gives complete instructions.
PS: You should never try tinctures on herbs without through research or practice with herbs that you know their constitutions or under a herbalist. If you are practicing to be an herbalist---YOU NEED THIS BOOK! Don't make anything without it. It will tell you want herbs can be used in this form and side effects and what drugs should not be used with certain herbs and ect.
Use caution, do your research, then act.

Will 3 grams of morning glory seeds give me a good solid trip?
Well I guess it depend on where you are going?
Reply:morning glory seeds are not the best choice for household trips. the seeds you get from a store are coated in chemicals to keep funguses and bacterias from growing on them and not meant for injestion. if you harvested them you need to shell them as the black coats contain toxins that will strongly disagree with your stomach. shelling morning glory seeds is as you have proabably guessed not the most fun way to spend your next 2 days.
your best bet is doing further research on erowid.com

Oasis - (Whats The Story) morning glory? fav songs?
Hello:*****-Great opening track, especially sing hello, hello, it's good to be back.
Roll With It:****- This song is good. Good second track but not as good as the opening track.
Wonderwall:*****- Classic Oasis. Everyone on the planet knows how good this song it so I don't need to expand on it.
Don't Look Back in Anger:*****- Another Classic Oasis tune and one of my all time personal favorites.
Hey Now:***1/4- I don't hate this song but if you ask me what are my favorite Oasis songs this one doesn't come close.
Swamp Song (Interludes 1 %26amp; 2):**- This was just a clip and in the long run I wished they would have put the entire song instead because that was a ***** song with great guitar riffs.
Some Might Say:*****- Another classic and their first #1 single in England.
Cast No Shadows:*****- Another personal favorite of mine.
She's Electric:***- I always liked this one for the simplicity of it's lyrics and it's Beatlesque sound.
Morning Glory:*****- This song was just a great one to rock out to.
Champagne Supernova:*****- Classic song and at almost 7 minutes it was an awesome way to close out the album.
All in all I rate the whole album a ****1/2. Now looking back and listening to the b-sides that didn't make the album I would have included the whole Swamp song instead of 2 clips. I would have removed Hey Now and put in Acquiesce. I would have also included The Msterplan as well so the album would look like:
1. Hello
2. Acquiesce
3. Roll With It
4. Wonderwall
5. Don't Look Back in Anger
6. The Swamp Song (in its entirity)
7. Some Might Say
8. Cast No Shadow
9. She's Electric
10. Morning Glory
11. Champagne Supernova
12. The Masterplan

I have been harvesting morning glory seeds off and on for several years and have never come across light brown ones. I saved them, just in case it was some cool cross-pollination thing, but I was wondering if it was something else.

I need to know more about growing morning glory and moonflower?
I need to know more about growing moonflowers and morning glory. Should I buy then in packets/seeds or in pots? Are they perrenial and how do I plant them? Is it too late to plant them this summer season?I would love waking up seeing those morning glories and would love the scent the moonflower encompassed the evenings.
I need to know more about growing morning glory and moonflower?
I just moved from zone 5 and I can tell you from experience that morning glories like poor, well drained soil.I don't know about moon flowers though.
Don't fertilize morning glories after they are established or you will get a ton of leaves and no blossom. I have found that they don't do well in pots.
Prepare your seed bed by cleaning out the weeds and slightly tilling the soil. Make sure Morning glories have something to climb on like a trellis or they will rot just sitting on the ground. So after you till your soil, stick a trellis in it. Morning Glories have a hard seed pod so you will need to soak them overnight in water before planting. Just distribute the soaked seeds in the prepared bed and using the flat part of a hoe or the palm of your hand, push them in the ground. Keep the dirt moist until they are about 6" tall, after that allow the dirt to dry out before watering. Try getting pink and blue seeds and plant them together for a stunning display! I like to plant 4 o'clocks with morning glories...they can be planted just like the MG's.
Good luck!
Reply:it depends on where you live, but it's a little late to plant them outdoors. i would just get a pot. it will tell you how to plant and take care of them on the packet of seeds.
Reply:Morning glory look nice at first BUT they come back worse than weeds years later. The neighbor planted then along the fence a few years ago and now I have them all over the garden. They can grow and choke out other plants you have growing. They looked nice at first but now they are a pain.

Reply:Morning glory is best started from seed in the spring after the frost date. It is not a perennial, except in very warm climates where it doesn't get below freezing during the winter. In Bermuda and other islands it is considered a weed because it never goes away and spreads like crazy.
I wouldn't plant it right now, as it may not overwinter in your zone (here in the south, seed comes up readily from last year's seed), so I would wait until next spring. Morning glory likes to climb things, so be prepared to give it a trellis or something else to climb. It's really easy to grow with seed.
I've never grown moonflower before, though I may do so in the future, so I can't offer any advice on it, except to wait till the spring to grow it from seed.
Reply:Don't know about moon flower, here is a link that should help. Morning glory can be a nightmare even in colder climates.
Visit your local nursery and consider other climbers like clematis, varieties of rose ramblers require v little to no care...
Drive around your neighborhood and see what others have climbing in their yards. Notice how much sunlight the plant gets. If you plant a clematis in a shady area, it will grow like crazy but won't flower for lack of light.
Check the gardenweb forums under vines or perennials; or better yet, start in your region of the country!
Good luck!
Reply:I would give it a try. Get a pack of seeds. If the plants bloom, each flower will dry into a little seed pod and you'll have hundreds of seeds for next season.

How do I collect Morning Glory seeds?
I need to get the seeds from my morning glory plants but I do not know how or what the seed pods look like.
How do I collect Morning Glory seeds?
Morning Glories won't start to seed until late Aug. - Sept. and they seed everywhere. Wherever there was a flower you will find a seed pod they look like small basketballs about the size to the eraser end of a pencil. Let them dry on the stem and then you can pick them. Inside the pod are all the seeds you can either leave them or break them open I don't think it really matters. You can also leave it till the spring when all the growth has died off before picking the pods. Hope this helps
Reply:you buy it from a salesman

I plant morning glories all over my property and last fall I collected a gallon jar of seeds. Morning glories will also self-seed (you will discover this next spring!).
Reply:You will see little brown/black berry like seeds after the vines die and winter sets in. You have to keep the ugly vines until then. Sorry 'bout that. :o)
I have one vine I will be collectiong from this fall too.

It could be caused by allergies or dry eyes. One of my dogs has dry eyes and we have to put artificial tears in his eyes a couple of times a day. You could try that but if it doesn't help I would see a vet. Dogs can also get painful eye ulcers that will cause discharge.
Reply:i thought morning glory is when you wake up with an erection?!
the early morning gunk is because your eyes are constantly producing tears with contain a diluted amount of it. as you sleep, the water produced evaporates but the gunk does not, so it concentrates and leaves a residue.
If your dog produces allot it could be that its tear ducts are over active, they are might sense that the eyes need more help than normal. It could be an early sighn of blindness.
Check if you can see a glassy effect in the dogs eyes as this is another sign.
Reply:Dogs have two set of eye lids and they keep the dogs eyes protected and a dogs tears cleans it out and is washes into the corner of the eye , our tears do the same. What do your eyes do when you get something in one of them they water to get it out.
Reply:We all have it- humans and dogs. If it annoys you so much just rub it off your dogs eyes. Try not to tough the eye ball though.
Reply:it's normal, just get a damp towel and wipe it off. But if it is real bad, ask your vet

How to harvest morning glory seeds?
I recently planted a couple morning glory's about 1-2 months ago... one has bloomed a few flowers and the fine is climbing up a post... its about a foot long right now but the acutaul plant itself is small... only has about 4 heartshaped leaves. Anyways i was woundering how to collect and keep the seeds of this plant? whats the best way and where are they located on the plant?
How to harvest morning glory seeds?
Pull or clip the seed heads from the plant, holding a bowl or paper bag underneath (if you're saving more than one variety, mark the container to avoid mix-ups). Indoors, open the seed heads over newspaper, discarding the chaff (the seed coverings and other debris). Let the seeds dry on the newspaper in a cool, well-ventilated space for two to three weeks. (We've sometimes skipped this step, and most of our seeds sprouted anyway.)
Meanwhile, decorate your envelopes with photographs of the mature flowers, noting the flower's name and the year grown. Pour in the seeds, seal the envelopes and place them in a plastic container with a lid. Store your seeds in a cool, dry place like your refrigerator or the basement.
Reply:The seeds can simply be picked up off the ground. I have had some that I saved for 5 years in a plastic bag and they still grew when I planted them. They actually re-seed themselves very well and you'll have a bunch coming up around your plant without having to re-seed.
Reply:My mother has morning glory all over her yard. We help her "harvest the seeds" then throw them away because the vine has a tendency to take over everything!!!! And they attract bees.....
Trust me, you don't need to do anything to the plant. The seeds will fall off and it will reseed itself.
Reply:Morning glory seeds contain alkaloids and are very poisonous. The seeds form when the flower falls off. They're will be a small bulb on the flower stem with 6 -8 seeds in it.
Reply:When the flowers turn brown and dry up then pick the dried flower heads and put them in an envelope that you can seal . I then put the sealed envelope in a ziploc bag and put it in a nice cool dry area until spring.
Reply:The fridge is the best place to store your seeds. They need to be soaked
in a paper towel for a day or two before you plant them. I have had great
success with harvesting and replanting. It is a good way to save money
and it feels good to give Mother Nature a helping hand.
Reply:I'd tell you but first I want to know what you're using these seeds for. I suspect you're up to no good if you're wanting to harvest morning glory seeds.

Why is some morning glory considered a weed?
We have been unsuccessful getting ground cover to grow in our rock wall. Suddenly this morning glory is taking over, weaving in and out of the rocks, doing exactly what we want. Everyone says they are weeds. We think they look great. Is there a problem we are unaware of?
Why is some morning glory considered a weed?
this plant is well known as the noxious and extremely invasive weed commonly known as "bindweed" (Convolvulus arvensis -field bindweed, or Convolvulus sepium -hedge bindweed).
it's very prolific, spreads by rhisomes (underground roots) and will wrap around and climb anything that it encounters.
it produces luminous white flowers (some with shades of pink and purple) that are actually quite pretty when you take a good look at them. the flowers blooms last only one day.
if you love them, and they are "doing exactly what [you] want" then enjoy! just hope your neighbours love them just as much!

Reply:If the morning glory is doing what you want it to do, then leave it! I love morning glories and wish I had brought some with me the last time we moved. They can be controlled fairly easily, if need be, but otherwise are beautiful "weeds" when watered and allowed to climb.
When they start to die out this fall, you'll want to remove the dead vines and unless you are really careful, you'll have seeds all over your yard, so I would suggest bagging the dead plants in the area it's growing. I always saved a few seeds, just in case they came up early the next spring and we had a late freeze, I could just plant my seeds after the danger of a freeze was over.

Definition: A weed is a plant growing where it is not wanted.
Obviously, if you like it there, it isn't a weed!
There!
Reply:Morning glory is an invasive species. It will choke out other plants. It spreads easily and is difficult to control. It sounds like you are getting what you need from such a plant, so don't worry about it. perfect
Reply:They are considered both a weed and a flower, depending who you are. Farmers don't like them, but some gardeners have them in their garden. If they are growing where you want them, let 'em grow.
Reply:It grows along the road and reseeds itself. Some think of it as a nuisance.
Reply:Weed is a relative term. If you are growing certain types of plants or crops for a certain purpose (i.e. profit, aesthetic value ) and another plant is competing with your crops for water, nutrients, space, and sunshine then that competing plant is a weed. If you enjoy looking at a certain plant and want to propagate it then it is not a weed, because it has aesthetic value for you.
Reply:You probably have "wild morning glory" or bindweed, which is not the same as the pretty morning glories on the seed packets. In my experience, morning glory climbs by curling around structures; bindweed just sticks. I have carefully planted morning glories all over my property, but I uproot the bindweed. But my definition of a weed is "a plant you don't want growing there". If you like 'em, keep 'em. Just keep them thinned out or they WILL take over.

When to Pick Morning Glory Seeds/Pods?
there are tons of morning glory growing and i was just wondern when do the pods apear with seeds or where do pods grow at on the plant.
When to Pick Morning Glory Seeds/Pods?
Wait until fall, after the flowers die off. They have a brown pod that is easy to pick off. If you have tons, then you'll definately get a lot of seeds. Be careful because sometimes morning glories tend to go crazy and over take everything in the area. Thats what happened to me.
Reply:After the bloom dries up there will be seeds underneath. Pick them in the fall.

Does anyone know how to get rid of morning glory?
I have a large garden and it is being overrun by morning glory. When I put the garden in I was healthy but since then I have developed fibromyalgia. I am limited in what I can now do. Last summer, I didn't do much and in back of our fence there is a green space that has morning glory and blackberries bushes. Because I didn't cut them back as I usually did they have encroached on the yard, both the morning glory and the blackberries grew through the fence and rooted where they touched the ground. So really I need help with both of these problem plants. Did I mention the ivy that is also finding its way into my garden?
Does anyone know how to get rid of morning glory?
All 3 of your problems can be eliminated by using "Brush-B-Gone" or "Brush Killer"...which contains the active ingredient called "TRICLOPYR". It is a selective herbicide that controls broadleaved plants without harming grassy types (including turf).
Triclopyr works very similar to Roundup by killing the roots after spraying the foliage. I've found it to do an excellent job on brush and vine species. When spraying, you should make sure not to spray when the temperatures exceed 80 degrees and to avoid any sprays to get onto ornamental plants and vegetables.
To achieve better results, try mixing a tablespoon of dishsoap into your sprayer AFTER mixing the Triclopyr and water. The dishsoap helps allow more of the mixture to stay on the leaves and the herbicide to move into the plants.
You should begin to see the morning glory, blackberries and ivy turning yellow/wilting 7 days after application.
I wish you the best in your battle against fibromyalgia.
Hope this information helps the problem in your backyard.

Reply:I assume that you are talking about Convolvulus..it is a really nasty weed that only appears in cultivation. It is unknown in the wild. I'm also guessing that maybe you live somewhere near the Pacific Northwest?.. morning glory and ivy and blackberries(himalayan?) are all difficult to control without using chemicals...With your fibromyalgia that may be your only option. good luck.
Reply:Pull the whole thing out. If you cannot. Then use bleach. Water the plant with bleach and it will be dead the following day.
Reply:yikes.... do you have anything in the garden that you want to keep? anything that will come back next year.. my suggestion is repot or replant everything that you want and then spray weed remover and dig all the dirt up destroying all roots... pull everything you want out and then till the whole area.. next year start over.. hopefully you will have gotten rid of everything you dont want.... i have to replant my morning glories every year :( if you dont want to get rid of them try adding more things for the morning glories to climb up on good luck!
