How long should I soak my morning glory seeds before I plant them?

I live in Wisconsin if that makes any difference to your answers.

How long should I soak my morning glory seeds before I plant them?
Overnight. Or longer. I forgot about mine one year and they soaked a couple days before I got around to planting them. They were fine. I start with warm water, or did before they became the established self sowing machine that they are now. The Heavenly Blues don't reseed though, at least not true to type, so if that's what you have plan on planting every year Soaking is easier than nicking, by the way, and works better, in my opinion.
Reply:Aren't morning glory the seed that had the really hard coat? I thought I had heard somewhere that you can use sandpaper and sand off a little spot on the side of the seed, and that will let the water in faster.
Reply:I don't soak mine at all--I basically throw them on the ground and they grow like crazy! Make sure they get plenty of sun and good drainage.
Reply:sweetheart i ask myself that every morning.

I'm sorry couldn't help myself
Reply:Plant Clementis instead. They don't spread and choke out other plants.
