i want to plant them but i dont have pots big enough for them. i only have pots 10 inches diameter. i dont have any ground to grow them in. do u think they will do okay in those pots? do u think using a cardboard box would work and wont get soggy and break?

The chinese lanterns will do well. . . the morning glories will overtaken and overflow with vines (which is beautiful:). . . the sunflowers (unless you have a minature variety) will become too top heavy and fall over although :) You could possibly stake them or anchor them to a wall or trellis, but would probably still have problems, because the sunflowers follow the sun with there heads :)

Good luck!!!
Reply:Go ahead and get them started. The sunflowers may need larger pots after a while. yOu can probably find some. Or use plastic bags. They seel fancy plastic "grow bags" but any heavy trash bag will work fine. Bwe sure to put some drainage holes in it and fill it with soil. You can transplant into it when the plants get bigger.

You could put the plastic bags into cardboard boxes, but using cardboard alone will not work well. Soggy and flopping.
Reply:you can't use cardboard, sorry.

go ahead and try the chinese lanters, they make work

the morning glories may do fine, just plant a few in each and make sure they have a place to climb (and don't forget to harvest thier seeds for next year) and keep an eye out for bigger pots for next year
Reply:Pots won't work, so buy cheap plastic buckets.Put a hole in the bottom, with something sharp, add a potting mix,and plant. You might have to stake the plants up.Remember only water when top of soil is dry.
