Plant them outside right after the last frost. They grow so easily you don't need to start them inside. They reseed themselves very easily so you shouldn't have to plant them again after the first year. The second year they will grow in thick but the seedlings are easy to pull and thin.
When do you plant morning glory flowers?
Think long and hard before you plant these little beauties...without a watchful eye they will take over the space they occupy and all surrounding areas much quicker than you think. Once that has been done they are very difficult to get rid of.
Reply:WOW.
Are you planning on dealing them?
if not when that plant gets out of control,
invite over some hippys to trim it, they will do it for free.
Reply:This is another plant that is easy to wintersow. For more info check out gardenweb.
Just a note do not fertilize.
Reply:This depends on where you live. I would plant them in a pot in mid-March so they are well started for the end April when it stops freezing outside. About a month before spring is really started is good. After summer, they can be kept inside during winter if you have them in a pot. Protect your seedlings from fungus that can kill them by putting sulfur on the soil or other fungicide and using good clean soil.
